Trenton Gilstrap is the founding President of HIP Kids. HIP Kids was started in 2006 after a Trenton had a seizure in class, and many students thought their classmate had died. This inspired Trenton to bring awareness to and encourage acceptance of students with hidden medical conditions. By bridging the social gap between typical and differently abled students, Trenton was able to develop HIP Kids into a successful organization.
Trenton was also his high school's Salutatorian, and his speech captivated many in the Equestrian Center on May 29, 2012 as he spoke at Gwynn Park High School's Class of 2012 graduation ceremony. Click here to read his speech!
